Meeting/Program Details

Below, you can find details and links for some of the meetings that one might find helpful when pursuing recovery. (Note: meeting times reflect academic year schedule. Please see "upcoming events" on our home page for events/meetings that happen during the summer)

One Key (AA): Monday at 7:00 PM in the BARC

A 12-step Recovery group dedicated to helping students overcome alcohol and substance use. Through empathy, understanding, and shared experiences, we provide a nurturing environment where students can find strength, hope, and the tools to embrace sobriety.

NAMI: Tuesdays at 5:00 PM in the BARC

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization, dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI support groups are peer-led and offer participants an opportunity to share experiences and gain support from other attendees.

Living Room (Al-Anon): Wednesday at 5:00 PM in the BARC

A spiritual fellowship for those who have been affected by someone else’s drinking and using. Members can include parents, children, spouses, partners, brothers, sisters, other family members, friends, employers, employees, and coworkers of those who misuse drugs and alcohol, and who are addicted to pornography. Al-Anon is not a program for finding or maintaining sobriety. It is a program to help the families recover from the effects of someone else’s addictive behaviors.

Al-Anon Frequently Asked Questions

Reclaim (Male Students Only): Thursdays at 12:00 PM (Location Varies: email the BARC)

A recovery support group empowering students to break free from the grip of lust in a confidential, compassionate, and non-judgmental space. Through peer support and personalized strategies, we offer practical tools and encouragement for those seeking to reclaim control over their lives and cultivate healthier relationships with themselves and others.

SMART Recovery: Thursdays at 5:30 PM in the BARC

SMART stands for “Self-Management and Recovery Training." It is a peer facilitated CBT skills based recovery program that helps individuals gain independence from all types of addiction and addictive behaviors. The program emphasizes and teaches four key points to self-recovery: Building and Maintaining Motivation, Coping with Urges, Managing Thoughts, Feelings and Behaviors, and Living a Balanced Life.
